ONE LIGHT is a 12 song collection of intensely spiritual, uplifting and life affirming songs with intelligent lyrics, a message of hope, and joyous, heartfelt music from some very talented musicians helping realize this dream. It is a musical journey through evolution and experiences from the heart with a uniquely female perspective on our humanity. Our light and dark sides are lyrically explored and illumined by the mind/body/soul connection that unites us all as beings of light. There is an added dimension for those special people in 12 step programs and on the road to recovery of all kinds with the connection each song has to each of the 12 steps, including the hit song, "Way To The One," and the lovely, inspirational ballad "Universal Divine," which is also a perfect musical choice for churches of all faiths.

All songs are written and performed by Jeanine Michaels and produced by Jeanine with Tracy Michael Caine and David Bloom. Packed with a colorful 12 page booklet with the lyrics and a very cool graphic art design by Amy Dakos, "One Light" is blessed with special guest appearances from talented musicians: Jim Wilson, Darryl Purpose, Daryl Silberman, Ritt Henn, Sarah O'Brien, Tracy Michael Caine, David Bloom, Mike Bell, Craig Pilo, Jake Jacobs, Don Preston, Jay Hlavka and Chris Hlavka...and Jeanine's distinctive, soulful contralto vocals.

Several musical styles including rock, jazz, blues and timeless ballads blend to make this enlightening and imaginative CD.

From Jeanine: “... the music is not from me, it comes through me. At the risk of sounding too mystical, I do “hear” the melodies in my head coming from somewhere outside myself, and run to a piano or guitar to “catch” them. Although I do have to take credit for working on the lyrics! I’m grateful to my kids for sharing their lives and hiding their embarrassment so I could write funny kids songs. And both the heartache and joy in living have given me the words and inspiration for “One Light”.”
